Lucy and Martin got married in July at Normanton Park Hotel. It was a lovely relaxed day and a beautiful wedding. On arrival to Normanton Park, I bumped into a blast from the past setting up wedding decor for the ceremony! Louise from Lily King is a friend from many years ago and we acted in a film together in another life! True story! So that was rather a pleasant surprise. The tables were set out beautifully. And the cake!! Oh my, what a cake! Lucy and Martin’s family friend had made it and it was all sorts of awesome! It was a towering pile of books including Lucy’s favourite Harry Potter and Fifty Shades of Hay (these two are farmers so there is a tenuous link there! ;-)) I loved photographing Lucy and Martin’s ceremony. Lucy just about held it together, but it was definitely rather emotional! Yep, one welling up photographer here! This is one of my favourite parts of the job, getting to witness such special moments in somebody’s life! After the ceremony, when Martin and Lucy were out of sight, I caught a gorgeous little moment between them, where they had a little cry of joy. I love capturing moments like this, as I think when looking at the pictures afterwards, it is an image like this that will bring it all back. All the emotion, and feelings and love and happiness that they shared on this day. As the rest of the day unfolded, my second shooter Sara I took the bride and groom for a little walk to the famous Normanton Church to get some portraits. Oh, and I must mention a little video message from a certain famous actor! I don’t know how Lucy’s sister managed this. But, oh the look on Lucy’s face! Scroll down to see who it was.
