Washingborough Hall wedding photography

Holly and Rob’s spring wedding at the beginning of March was my first of the new season. What a way to start it was. I absolutely loved getting to know these two; spending time with them and their friends and family on their big day at their Washingborough Hall wedding.

I met Holly and her favourite girls in the bridal suite for some getting ready photographs. The atmosphere was very jolly and I really loved taking portraits of Holly in her gorgeous dress.

Spring has Sprung

My second shooter Chris met Rob at his parents house. They arrived in time for the ceremony in a bright red sports car. The ceremony was beautiful, intimate and emotional. Followed by a fantastic confetti throw in the Spring sunshine. Holly and Rob had embraced the season for their theme with bright and colourful table decor flowers and loads of daffodils on each table. It truly looked like Spring had sprung, and they certainly had the weather for it too.

Best Friends

Holly’s best friends Hollie and Jo were a great help on the day. They even agreed to get in front of my camera for some test shots in the evening. Helping whilst Chris and I were setting up our lights for some fancy night time photos.

36 photos

In an attempt to get better at really curating my photos online, I have selected just 36 photographs for this blog post (like an old roll of film). I believe that less is more and want to reflect this with a carefully curated selection of photographs from the day.

Moments

These photos are not necessarily my best images from the day or my favourites. Rather, they represent a moment that sticks in my head for one reason or another:

~The moment I got some lovely reactions when Holly and Rob revealed to their guests that they are expecting an addition to their little family. Due in September.

~The moment whilst they were cutting the cake and cracking up because Rob accidentally grabbed Holly’s boob!

~The moment when Holly was trying to get her dress to stay in place with tit-tape (something I discovered along with needle and thread, and nail scissors is something my second shooter also carries in his camera bag! Always prepared, our Chris!)

~The moment they were handcuffed to each other by Rob’s policeman brother.

~The moment Holly was trying to participate in the magician’s card trick whilst on the phone to relatives in Australia!

~and the moment when these two exchanged rings and committed to each other for the rest of their lives.

If you are left wanting more, which I really hope you are, I have embedded the slide show of wedding highlights at the bottom of the post. This contains a few more moments of the day. I hope you enjoy it.
