Wedding Photography at Beeston Fields

Karen and Matt had a small and intimate wedding with close family and friends in attendance and I was lucky enough to play a small part, providing their wedding photography at Beeston Fields golf club. Karen and Matt live in Scotland, so they had planned their entire wedding from up in Scotland. they had entrusted their bridesmaid Natasha to find them a photographer, and what a lovely friend she was. She came to meet me at home and told me lovely things about Karen and Matt and what they wanted. I met Karen a week before the wedding, and unusually for me, only met Matt on the day! But they assured me that they both felt relaxed for the photos and I think it really shows.

Getting ready at Beeston Fields

I met Karen in the bridal room at Beeston fields, where she and her beautiful bridesmaids were all getting ready together. I loved the colour scheme and her bridesmaids all looked amazing in their teal dresses. Particularly as they all had different coloured hair. Karen’s daughter’s hair matched her teal dress, which looked wonderful. I mean, it was an exact match! The window light was perfect for my bridal portraits and I got some lovely shots of Karen in her gorgeous dress before the ceremony.

Wedding Ceremony

I loved the ceremony. It was very intimate and moving. there was not a dry eye in the house! Karen and Matt’s two children both gave a reading, which they had written themselves, and I was very impressed with their confidence. I was also pleased that the dog got a mention!

Dragging my couple through the mud!

I knew that I wanted some portraits in the sunlight, but we needed some shade of the trees. So I got Karen and Matt to venture off the beaten track with me, along with two bridesmaids in tow to lift up the amazing dress! I think we all got some mud on our shoes, but I do hope it was worth it for some lovely sunny portraits! Here are 10 from the day.
