Wedding photography at Shustoke Barn – Chloe and Tom finally tie the knot

It seems like ages ago that I was photographing Chloe and Tom’s pre wedding engagement shoot. Now finally after some postponements, the day finally came around for some wedding photography at Shustoke Barn with Chloe and Tom’s big day! And what a lovely day it was!

I met Chloe at a nearby hotel where she and her bridesmaids were getting ready. It was lovely to see some familiar faces in the business with Ami doing hair and Harper doing makeup. It’s great to be bumping into the same talented artists again after we’ve all had a lot of time away from our jobs. Both did a fantastic job with Chloe and all her girls. Chloe looked like a bronzed goddess with a boho chic vibe going on with her amazing bouquet and floaty dress and flowers in her hair. Stunning.

Some showers didn’t stop play

By the time we got to Shustoke Barn for the ceremony the heavens had opened and it started chucking it down! We have had some strange weather this year with heavy rain one minute and blazing sunshine the next. Luckily there were plenty of brollies to hand and gazebos in the courtyard for guests to shelter under. The main hall where the ceremony took place was stunning! Huge vaulted ceilings and some lovely windows on either of the barn right where the vows took place made for some magical light both in the ceremony and for dancing later in the day.

We managed to photograph groups under the shelter of the stables roof, and rain stopped enough for us to grab some awesome portraits so we were absolutely fine with our wedding photography at Shustoke Barn.

Sparklers and dancing

The evening was finished with a gorgeous first dance, and some sparklers for the guests. Chloe and Tom have loads of lovely friends and family. Their little boy, who was just a tiny baby when I first met him, was a big part of their day too. They make a lovely couple and it was such a pleasure photographing them tie the knot. They were childhood sweethearts at school and have made it all the way to marriage and kid, surviving a world wide pandemic along the way! Well done you two.
