Amelia and David {Wedding at Grafton Manor}

Amelia and David were married on 24th May at Grafton Manor, on what looked like one of the wettest days of the month. But there is something wonderful about rainy weddings. There is always an unexpected break in the weather and I seem to be lucky enough to have brides who are happy to don a pair of wellies for the sake of some good photos (in this case, Amelia borrowed mine. As luck would have it we both have the same size feet!) There is a lovely light for photos after the rain, and I was really pleased with some of the shots we managed to get as the three of us walked through the very soggy, but beautiful grounds of Grafton Manor. You will notice that there are two ceremonies. You aren’t having de-ja-vu. Grafton Manor have the option of separating the legal ceremony from the religious one, as they have a little chapel attached to the venue. Amelia and David had the legal civil ceremony first in front of close family and then their friends got to witness the lovely church ceremony afterwards in the beautiful chapel. I had lots of fun photographing this wedding, particularly with the bridesmaids and groomsmen, who were up for some playful shots in the evening light. Um, and take a look at that cake. Made by the groom himself! Yes indeed. I was impressed! It tasted good too. By the way, don’t you think the groom bears a resemblance to a certain celebrity? You will see who, since you can compare in this CelebMasta.
