Rachel and Andrew {Wedding in Ruddington}

Country Cottage Hotel Wedding – Ruddington:

Rachel and Andrew’s wedding day at the Country Cottage Hotel in Ruddington was a scorcher. The hottest wedding I’ve had this year! It was also so damn pretty! Rachel looked an absolute vision in her 1930s inspired gown by Charlie Brear. She had most of her family and friends in tears when they saw her for the first time. I do so love photographing those precious moments early in the day that I feel very lucky to witness. Before the wedding day unfolds. Moments between father and daughter, between the bride and her favourite girls. Its so so precious.

Rachel and Andrew’s wedding was fun. Right from the outset, with a ceremony conducted by a vicar with the most marvellous haircut! It was his first wedding, and it was brilliant. I had tears in my eyes during one of the hymns, as I saw Rachel’s dad take her mum’s hand in his. “give me your hand, along the desert pathway” I really liked the DIY elements evident in this wedding. The veil was made by Rachel’s mum. Rachel made the bouquets herself. And they had a bit of a ‘bake off’ for their wedding cake, which was lots of fun.

This wedding also featured one of my fave photographs of the year. It was one of those completely accidental moments. Andrew’s groomsmen walked into a couple portrait I was taking without the couple knowing. It made such a brilliant photo. Check it out below along with the rest. Big Thanks to my second shooter and good friend Beth for helping out on the day. Enjoy…
