I loved shooting Kate and James’ beautiful wedding at Swancar Farm. One of my favourite Nottingham venues, Swancar Farm is a joy to photograph at. It was a fun day, and so stylish and full of quirks. I knew I would love Kate’s gorgeous dress as soon as she told me she was getting it from the lovely ladies at Fur Coat No Knickers! They fit alter and customise original vintage wedding gowns and I love them. Kate looked stunning in her dress and I couldn’t stop photographing her. She also teamed it with a customised pair of converse that her mum had decorated for her, which were so sweet! I love family relationships at weddings, and Kate’s parents’ house where she was getting ready was a buzz with excitement and emotion. James also looked rather dashing in his navy suit, and I particularly liked the bicycle details on his cuff links and button hole. The wedding was full of little details like this that reflected their personalities and it was apparent that the couple are a very popular well loved pair, with lots of friends having barrels of laughs. I liked the dynamic between Kate and her bridesmaids, who wore gorgeous 1920s frocks that worked perfectly with the vintage theme. Thanks to my second shooter Ben for helping out on the day.
Very pretty, what a beautiful bride!
