Abi and Jake {Garden Marquee wedding in Leicestershire}

Garden Marquee Wedding in Leicestershire

I loved Abi and Jake’s garden marquee wedding in Leicestershire. Home-spun weddings are the absolute best! And Abi and Jake’s was just so much fun. It was beautiful and relaxed and sunny and just lovely.

I joined Abi and all the girls getting ready at her mum and Dad’s house. I took a few make-up snaps and then ventured into the field out the back to take a look at the marquee. It was dressed beautifully and looked amazing. Abi and Jake had use some wedding planners to co-ordinate things, and they did such an amazing job.

Abi had her little daughter with her getting ready, and there were some wonderful precious moments to be captured of the two of them before they walked to the church. I particularly like some of the shots I got of Abi and Amelia on the stairs, and then some portraits of Abi on her own. The light was stunning and I was super pleased with these photos!

Walking to the church

I loved walking to the church with the family and the bridesmaids. There is something special about the walk to the church if you can do it. That journey to your future married life. It was lovely.

Jake was waiting nervously at the alter as Abi and her dad made their entrance. The service was followed by confetti and a few photos with grandparents before we made our way back to the garden and marquee for drinks and canapés on the field.

Sunny and Relaxed

The whole day was pretty relaxed. I even captured someone sleeping in the grass! And I don’t blame them! It was such a warm and sunny day, I could quite happily have had a little snooze in the long grass myself!

Abi and Jake had some portraits in the adjoining fields. The view was spectacular. And I loved chatting to Abi’s family about the story of the place and how her father used to walk in the fields as a boy. A place with family history like this is always such a special place for a wedding. And you could really feel it.

Family were clearly of great importance to the pair and seeing all these family relationships come together on their special day was just lovely. I hope I captured some of the relaxed family fun with my camera. It was an absolute pleasure capturing your day guys.
