Hanako and Adam married at the Leicester Guild Hall. It was a beautiful setting for photographs, dating back 600 years with old timber framing and wonderful features. The ceremony, which took place in the timber clad old hall, was lovely. One of the highlights was Hanako’s friend doing a reading in Japanese, which I was so impressed by. The guests had champagne in the courtyard, which was a lovely intimate setting, and I managed to get loads of nice candids of everyone enjoying themselves, before confetti was thrown and we walked over to Hotel Maiyango around the corner for the reception on the top floor. There were lovely little details such as individual mini handwritten notes for each guest along with tiny home made origami. Also their cake matched their car, an old citroen classic, which they both had growing up. Speeches were great. I learnt Hanako means ‘flower girl’ in Japanese. I loved Hanako’s style and thought she looked absolutely radiant. She custom adjusted her dress with a sash to give it a Japanese feel. Hanako and Adam make such a perfect couple. I really enjoyed photographing their wedding and being a part of their brilliant day. Thanks to my second shooter Ben Redgate.
Beautiful photos Kathryn, and congratulations to the Hanako and Adam – they look so happy!
