Wedding at The William Cecil

Emma and Rob got married at the fabulous Normanton Church on Rutland Water and then had the reception for their wedding at The William Cecil in Stamford. It was a gorgeous laid back and relaxed wedding that was super sunny and friendly with lots of children in attendance.

It was a lovely wedding to photograph as I had got to know Emma and Rob a bit running up to the wedding as we found out after they booked me that our boys go to the same nursery. They now go to school together as well, so I see Emma and Rob in the school playground frequently. Their wedding was a lovely day to be a part of and I hope the following images will tell the story of their day.

Some of my favourite moments here include the flower girls squeezed onto the stairs for a portrait together. Emma’s dad greeting her at the bottom of the stairs. Henry presenting the rings to his mum and dad, with a little help from best man Geoff. The beautiful succulents as wedding favours. Rob is a gardener, so it was nice to see this little touch on the tables. And I liked the flower fairy themed tables. Pictures of Henry with his dinosaurs, rather an obsession for this little boy! And flower girls running through the lavender. The lavender gardens were gorgeous for portraits in the sunshine and again very fitting for the gardener in Rob.

Family Friendly

One thing I loved about Emma and Rob’s wedding was how family friendly it was. The kids just played amongst themselves and with the adults, all getting on superbly. There was a super relaxed feel to the day with none of the formalities often associated with weddings.

I loved that and felt very much at home and part of the crowd photographing Emma and Rob’s family and friends. I hope I managed to capture some of the lovely relaxed vibe on camera. It was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple. Here are some of my memories from the day.
