Beautiful
Robyn and Matt’s wedding was just beautiful. I arrived at Robyn’s dad’s house in the morning where she and her bridesmaids were getting ready. Everything was in full swing and there was such a buzz in the house. I love photographing this part of the day, as everyone is excitedly getting ready.
Moments
There were some lovely moments to photograph. Robin presented her dad with a beautiful sundial, and an embroidered hanky. I well up in moments like this. But could just about see to take a few snaps 😉 Robyn looked absolutely stunning in her Stella York dress. It suited her beautifully and I loved her bouquet by Wessex Flower Company – a beautiful arrangement, with strips of silk wrapped around it.
My second shooter Jenny was a lovely asset on the day, photographing Matt and his groomsmen in the morning and helping me throughout the wedding day. The church service will stay with me as one of my favourites.
Church
It was a small and intimate ceremony and the vicar was amazing, even though he wouldn’t let me take photographs 😉 (I sneaked one or two from the back) But I totally respected the way he took the service, allowing for the emotional moments that occurred during the readings. In fact the whole day was full of emotions, and there were tears and laughter throughout.
Emotional
One of my favourite and most moving parts of the day was during the groom’s speech. Matt, bless him, understandably had a hard time reading one part of his speech, expressing how proud Robyn’s mum would have been to see her today. I certainly would have choked up myself!! And then Robyn came and stood by his side to read it for him. It was the most tender and loving moment and there was not a dry eye in the house. I enjoyed photographing their wedding immensely and I hope you love the pictures as much as I loved taking them.
