A Lincoln Garden Wedding:
There is something about having a wedding in your parents’ garden! I just love it. These weddings lend themselves to a different kind of intimacy and always have the kind of DIY element that I find such a joy to photograph. Sarah and Abeed’s Lincoln garden wedding was no exception. From the beautiful homemade cake by Abeed’s mum (seriously impressed with this one. Take a look – those flowers on top that look real, are all made out of sugar!!) to the yards and yards of bunting, to the jam jars of wild flowers and the amazing hog roast. It was such a beautiful day full of gorgeous personal touches throughout.
Special Moments:
One of many favourite moments was squeezing into the front seat of Abeed’s dad’s vintage Morgan. Sarah and Abeed sat in the back, we were cruising down the country lanes to find a little spot to photograph the couple together. I couldn’t resist taking a little selfie at this point! 😉 On arriving back at the house, Sarah and Abeed were greeted by their friends and family in the front garden. A little confetti run and drinks on the lawn. Sarah’s family are all very musical.
Sarah’s sister Jo played the trombone during the signing at the church, and Sarah’s mum played sax during the drinks reception. Not to mention their friend’s band who did some pretty awesome covers in the garden. Loved them!! I had so much fun from start to finish. So please, raise a glass to all the engineers in this world, and to two very lovely ones indeed… Sarah and Abeed!
