Wedding at Rufford Mill:
Lisa and Martin were married in Greece. They had a second celebration with their wedding at Rufford Mill and Country Park for friends and family who couldn’t join them in Greece. I was lucky enough to be chosen to photograph this celebration and it was brilliant. Lisa looked an absolute vision in her Alan Hannah dress, and I really enjoyed taken some gorgeous shadowy portraits of her in the morning.
Lovely Couple:
Lisa and Martyn were such a fun couple to work with. Lisa was so lovely and accommodating in the morning. She made me feel right at home with her bridesmaids getting ready at her lovely house. I enjoyed taking pictures of lots of the little details in her house. Their personality is written all over it, with lots of cat niknaks and tartan furnishings. I love meandering around during bridal prep when it is in the family home. Some of these little personal homely touches in a house make for great photos. Therefore, the rings and the shoes and the dress being photographed in the context of the home. There was a lot to photograph in Lisa and Martyn’s house.
Styling:
Vintage cars were booked to ferry bridesmaids and bride to the venue, and the other wedding guests arrived in a Route Master bus. The ceremony room at Rufford Mill was decorated beautifully by Avant Garden, who also made Lisa’s lovely bouquet. The styling of the wedding was really beautiful and I can highly recommend Avant Garden, who worked tirelessly to make the place look wonderful!
After the ceremony, guests were entertained by David Fox Magic, confetti was thrown, photos were taken, and canapés were eaten. I even found myself holding a tray of things on sticks at one point! Not quite sure how that happened. We got some lovely portraits of the pair (most photogenic this couple, and I have hair envy over Lisa’s haircut!)
Rocked it!
Finally, the evening do was held at Il Rosso, with a second cake. Yes two cakes!! Lisa even gave me a mini teapot cake to take home. It was so pretty. This couple certainly know how to drag a wedding out in the most wonderful way! Two weddings, two cakes, two venues, two dresses. Yep, it is safe to say that Lisa and Martyn well and truly rocked their wedding. Thanks to my second shooter Mark for helping me capture the day.
