Charlotte & Charlie | Garden wedding in Rutland

Garden wedding in Rutland

Charlotte and Charlie had a beautiful home spun wedding at their parents’ home in Clipsham. They got married at the local church and then drove back in a beautiful vintage MG to Charlie’s family home for a beautiful garden wedding in Rutland. The setting was perfect, the day was delightfully sunny, the vicar even provided cold beers in the church. Its was that hot! What a fantastic day, with lots of lovely memories.

36 Photos

It has been so much fun going through all the photos to select 36 to tell a story. From champagne popping in the morning to crazy dancing antics in the evening, and some wonderful bits in between. It is the little things that really make each wedding I photograph unique. I loved how Charlotte had made confetti holders out of her grade 8 piano music. I am a piano player myself (although I only got to grade 7) so I really loved the idea of her guests holding confetti in sheets of music that Charlotte had tirelessly practiced at over and over. A lovely touch!

I must mention the beers in the church again as this really was one of my highlights of the wedding. Actually one of the highlights of the year. I don’t know if you can remember that August heat, but it really was absolutely scorching! When the vicar produced a shopping bag containing some cold beers for the couple and gave them out for them to pour right at the front of the church, it was amazing. The most Christian thing anyone could have done in that moment! God bless that vicar!! You could see that beer went down a treat, and they were even generous enough to pass it back for dad and brother to have a sip! Amazing!

It really was a wonderful wedding. I shall let the photos do the talking as they really do tell the story for you. Now back to editing my next wedding. Cheerio for now. x
