Wedding Photography at Carriage Hall | 10 from Abi & Dylan

“I’ve had so many people tell me how fun you were and how easily you blended into the evening”

Wedding photography at Carriage Hall is something I enjoy. It was lovely to be back for Abi & Dylan’s autumnal nuptials. And what a fantastic day it was. I met Abi at the nearby Primrose House Bed & Breakfast, where all the girls were getting ready. There were a lot of nerves and excitement in the room, and at first I wasn’t sure if that was because the Rugby final was on TV, and South Africa were winning, which meant tensions were high! Haha. But Abi was not going to let it get in the way of a very exciting day!

Making it personal

Abi and Dylan decided to do things their own way, which is exactly how a wedding should be. They had a very short civil ceremony, and then Dylan’s uncle took over the proceedings, with a very personal ceremony tailored to Abi and Dylan. This made it very special indeed. There were also lots of touches of Guatemala throughout the wedding. Abi’s dad was from Guatemala and she had some relatives on her dad’s side who had come over for the wedding. It was lovely chatting to them, and great to see some of the traditional touches, such as the beautiful Guatemalan fabrics as table runners. And the little traditional worry dolls in little boxes as favours.

A crisp autumn day

Well, it was the beginning of November, so it was never going to be warm. But I was thrilled that the rain stopped after the ceremony so we could get outside for confetti and photos in the autumn leaves. The colours were just stunning. Autumn is by far my favourite season. I do love the colours and the way the light falls at this time of year. So it was great to be able to get outside for some lovely photos. I also took some nice pictures of Abi with her bridesmaids. They all wore slightly different autumnal shades, brought together by the beautiful bouquets by Flowers on Main Street. A fantastic Nottingham wedding venue for a fantastic wedding!

Party

The celebrations went on into the evening with sparklers and even an impromptu firework display from the neighbours, which we were lucky enough to get a look in on. So that was pretty spectacular. We had more speeches and then some fantastic dance floor action, I didn’t want to leave! Here is my selected ten from the day.

The venue:

This stylish Nottingham wedding venue is a gem of a place to have your wedding. From the delicious in house catering from Perkins to the beautiful open layout of the Carriage Hall. This wedding venue packs a punch. I have been back a few times over the years at different times of year and for different styled weddings. But the relaxed vibe you get is always the same.
