A Harry Potter Wedding
Emma and Craig got married in the autumn at East Bridgford Hill. A stunning location, and sadly closing its doors for the time being. It was the perfect spot for a Harry Potter wedding. Emma and Craig are huge fans of Harry Potter and wanted to incorporate elements of the famous novels into their wedding. This they did with absolute aplomb! From the autumnal magical feel of the decor, to the long tables and gift wands as wedding favours, no element went unnoticed by us wedding photographers. In fact the details were so gorgeous, I have litereally really struggled to deliver my normal 36 images. So I may have included just one or two more. Ok there are 39. Forgive me!!
Autumn magic
It was the prefect time of year for this magical Harry Potter wedding. Emma and Craig embraced the autumnal in their wedding decor, with dry leaves and autumnal foliage all over the house and staircase. It really did look beautiful and the florist, Daisy Works did such a fantastic job! The staircase at East Bridgford Hill is so lovely and it looked great with moss and autumn leaves adorning it!
Bride and groom getting ready together
One of my favourite parts of the day at any wedding is the morning bridal prep, where I photograph the buzz and excitement of getting ready. This wedding was no exception. Although a little different to most weddings I photograph, as the groom was actually helping the bride get into her dress. The dress was exquisite and fitted the Harry Potter theme perfectly. I believe the groom had seen it in Harrods and when Emma tried it on she loved it. I mean, just take a look for yourself. Emma really does look wonderful in it. Photographing Craig helping Emma into her dress was amazing. Such a sweet and tender moment of their wedding and one that was so lovely for them to share together. I just adore these photographs!
Spells
I really loved the LUMOS sign that they had put up outside the house. It looked amazing all lit up in the evening, and we got a nice portrait of Emma and Craig with the sign. I also did a bit of photoshop work with them and their Harry Potter wands, in an attempt to recreate something akin to the film. I’m not sure my skills do it justice to be fair, but it was fun having a go! I was also spell bound when Emma surprised Craig by singing for him. She is classically trained and has a beautiful voice. Craig was visibly moved, as was everybody else. Just wonderful! All in all a truly magical wedding that I shall never forget.
