“I’ve had so many people tell me how fun you were and how easily you blended into the evening”
Carriage Hall Wedding Photography
As a Carriage Hall wedding photographer, it’s always a pleasure returning to this beautiful Nottinghamshire venue. Abi and Dylan’s autumn wedding at The Carriage Hall in Plumtree was full of personality, meaningful family traditions, and stunning seasonal colours.
I started the day at nearby Primrose House Bed & Breakfast, where Abi and her bridesmaids were getting ready. There was plenty of excitement in the room, helped along by the Rugby World Cup final playing on the television! Despite the distractions, Abi was calm, excited, and ready to enjoy every moment of her wedding day.
A Personal Ceremony at The Carriage Hall
One of the things I love most about being a Carriage Hall wedding photographer is seeing couples make the venue their own. Abi and Dylan chose a short civil ceremony before inviting Dylan’s uncle to lead a heartfelt and highly personal celebration that reflected their relationship perfectly.
Their wedding also featured beautiful Guatemalan influences in honour of Abi’s family heritage. Guests enjoyed colourful traditional fabrics used as table runners, while handmade worry dolls made thoughtful and unique wedding favours. These personal touches helped create a wedding that felt completely authentic to the couple.
Autumn Wedding Photography at The Carriage Hall
Although it was an early November wedding, we were fortunate that the rain stopped just after the ceremony. This gave us the opportunity to explore the grounds and capture some beautiful Carriage Hall wedding photography surrounded by vibrant autumn colours.
Autumn is one of my favourite seasons for wedding photography. The golden leaves, softer light, and rich seasonal tones create the perfect backdrop for natural, relaxed portraits. Abi and her bridesmaids looked fantastic in their coordinated autumn-inspired dresses, complemented by stunning bouquets from Flowers on Main Street.
For couples planning an autumn celebration, The Carriage Hall is a fantastic wedding venue, offering beautiful indoor spaces and lovely outdoor locations for photographs throughout the year.
Evening Celebrations
The party continued into the evening with sparklers, heartfelt speeches, and plenty of dancing. As a bonus, the neighbours treated everyone to an unexpected firework display, creating a spectacular backdrop to end the night.
It was a brilliant day from start to finish and a wonderful example of why I love being a Carriage Hall wedding photographer. Here are my favourite ten images from Abi and Dylan’s wedding.
