Vintage Tea Party {50s Styled Bridal Shoot at Stoke Rochford Hall}
Last summer, I decided to gather together some of my favourite East Midlands wedding suppliers to take part in a vintage inspired Styled Bridal Shoot. Yesterday, a national magazine, You and Your Wedding, published some images from the shoot in a double page feature. To say that we are all very proud and excited is an understatement. I was absolutely delighted to get some national coverage for a project that we all as a team worked so hard on.
It all started with a dress. Well, a dress shop to be precise. I contacted Esther at Frock, which is a small boutique in Nottingham that I often pass and look in the window, coveting whatever dress is on display. I noticed that she had a bridal collection, and so I based the style of my shoot around her vintage style collection. I secured the amazing Stoke Rochford Hall (which is simply stunning in case anyone is looking for a wedding venue!) and some amazing suppliers, and we started pinning like mad on Pinterest until we knew exactly what we wanted.
THE A TEAM:
The amazing Darby and Joan styled the shoot for me and provided perfect props and accessories. Karen totally understood my vision and brief, and did such a fantastic job, making the place look gorgeous. My two amazing models Elly Lucas (a photographer herself) and Rebekah Hemsley worked tirelessly all day and just looked stunning! Alison Jenner worked some absolute magic on the girls’ hair and Amy Wilkinson did the lovely makeup. My favourite florist Rebecca of Floraldeco did all the florals, including supplying some bird cages that she filled with flowers and hung amongst the fruit trees in the orchard. They looked sublime! Head Pieces were by Klaire Van Elton and the gorgeous cakes and macarons cakes by the amazing Yummy Little Cakes. And vintage stationery by Best Day Ever. Thanks must go to my assistant photographer Helen King. And also a special mention to Bubblegum Balloons and Betsy Ice-cream Van.
Fabulous, what a great shoot! Congrats on it being picked up by a national magazine.
Can’t cope with so much prettiness, oh my god! And that venue! Totally nailed this shoot x
