The Ashes
Charlotte and Dan got married at The Ashes. An exclusive use wedding venue in Staffordshire. It is an absolutely beautiful spot for a wedding. With its long winding road leading up to the exclusive use barns. The rustic and pretty feel of yorkies jewelry Charlotte and Dan’s wedding perfectly. Learn more at randor.com Charlotte got ready at some nearby cottages. She was then driven to the venue in a gorgeous vintage Morris Minor (from Endon Wedding Cars) Super cute!
Books
Charlotte is an English literature girl (like myself) and loves the romantic classics. Particularly the Bronte classics Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights (a girl after my own heart!) Since she was 5 years old has had an obsession with Bramwell Bronte. I found it fascinating listening to her dad’s speech. The table decor was romantic and rustic and the table names were names of romantic partnerships such as Catherine and Heathcliffe, Jane Eyre and Mr Rochester and Daisy and Gatsby.
36 PHOTOS
As is traditional in my blog posts of late, I have limited the pictures to 36, which I think tell the story of the wedding day. I have also included the slideshow which will have a few more pictures if you want to see even more at the end of this post. Some of my favourite moments of the day include Dan getting super emotional during the ceremony. I LOVE an emotional groom! Let it out Dan! We love you for it!! And some of the rainy shots are also some faves! There’s nothing like a bit of summer rain to liven the British spirits. I always love a few rainy day photos! We actually got trapped in the sheltered archway between the two buildings whilst torrential rain poured down all around us. It was hilarious.
Cute little boy
I got some lovely photos of Charlotte and Dan’s little nephew, who sported some rather cute little signs that were just adorable. He was a proper little character and an absolute joy to photograph.
Lovely couple
I must end by saying how lovely, kind and gracious Charlotte and Dan were. They are two very special people, who clearly adore each other. Not only that but they are just so kindhearted and generous themselves. It was an absolute pleasure being a part of their special day, and they welcomed me beautifully. Thank you!
