Nottingham wedding
Alice and Alfred’s intimate wedding at Langar Hall was lovely. Its the first time I have photographed at this fantastic venue and I must say I loved it. Langar Hall is the perfect wedding venue for smaller weddings. Whilst it is a country house, it has a gorgeous cosy feel to it. It suited Alice and Alfred and their close friends and family down to the ground. They are iced to tea and cake before sitting down in what could have been a large cosy dining room to a lovely meal served up by Langar Hall.
Rainy wedding day at Langar Hall
It was a rather rainy day at Langar Hall. But we managed to find some great little sheltered spots for photos. The light was actually so deliciously yummy, that I think the light would not have been so amazing if it was a bright sunny day. There was this cute little section of courtyard that was somehow nestled between the buildings and sheltered beautifully and yet let just enough light through for some lovely intimate portraits of the handsome couple.

A roll of film if you will. As with all my blog posts, I have selected 36 images that tell the story of the day and are personal favourites of mine. I loved Alice’s sparkly shoes, hence that first image. I don’t always include a dress hanging up shot, but I think the photo shows it off nicely. We actually hung it in the bathroom where Alice was getting ready. A little giggle fuelled moment when Alice and her dad were walking into the church. I can’t remember what it was about. But it was something to do with the umbrella or the umbrella bag. Anyway, her dad was really funny and made me laugh quite a lot in his speech, which was peppered with random jokes. Obviously the courtyard photos, which I have already mentioned. And one with the famous umbrella. Cutting the cake with a sword, and some fun dancing at the end of the night.
