Country Houses are a great setting for a wedding
Country house weddings can offer many different things for a couple getting married. And they vary so much. From the shabby chic and rustic, to the sophisticated and grand. You can find small cosy country houses for a very intimate setting, and something more sprawling and grand that will make you feel like the Lord and Lady of the manor. I have some of my favourites, and I love seeking out the little nooks and cranny’s. Those little pockets of light that are great for a lovely picture. Here are some Country House weddings on my blog for you to get a real feel for those weddings. You cans style it to suit you. And there is always so much scope depending on what you are after.
Nottingham wedding photographer
Firstly, you should know that as a wedding photographer in Nottingham, I have photographed at several country houses all over Nottinghamshire and beyond. I most definitely have my favourites. You can see some of them below. From Prestwold Hall to Norwood Park. From Hothorpe Hall to Talhenbont Hall. OK, that one is in Wales. But if you are wanting to get married a little further afield, I have included it. As I love photographing there! Oh and I mustn’t forget Holme Pierrepont Hall. One of my favourites for its shabby chic feel, beautiful courtyard garden and the red rooms of the bridal suite. Also, moving into the West Midlands is Moxhull Hall. A lovely Manor House in Sutton Coldfield.
Elegant and grand, rural and rustic…
The country house wedding can be varied in itself. Depending on the sort of setting you are going for. They can be shabby chic, or grand and pristine. Intimate and rural or Big city escapes. Below are a selection of some of the weddings I have photographed in some of Nottinghamshire’s finest country houses. Plus a couple in Wales 😉
