Wedding at The White Hart Inn
It’s that time of year again! Christmas is approaching. The weather outside is frightful. I have Christmas tunes on non-stop. And I have my final blog post of the year (and the final wedding of my 2017 season!) Nadine and Andrew got married on a cold day. And it was a little bit Christmassy and delightful. So it seems most appropriate to blog their nuptials today. Their wedding at The White Hart Inn was laid back and cool. They are a lovely couple and the day was good fun. I particularly enjoyed all the sparkler fun at the end of the night.
Nadine and Andrew’s Favourite Five
I asked Nadine and Andrew to let me know their favourite images from the day, and they have provided me with their top 5 including the reasons why they chose them. Here are their selection…
ONE:
Nadine says:
Picture of us under the umbrella. We thought that getting married in November and it getting dark by 4:30pm would mean that we would be limited for the types of photos we could have. Luckily for us Kathryn had a lovely idea for a photo outside in the evening with an umbrella lit up with a light. It took us a few attempts but eventually we got the flash right!
TWO:
Nadine says:
photo with the kids. We didn’t want lots of ‘staged’ photos – and in any case it can be really difficult to get kids to stand still and smile. This picture sums up Kathryn’s relaxed style. Our family love this picture of us and our nephews and niece.
THREE:
Nadine says:
Sparklers! We had a bit of fun with sparklers and the photos turned out pretty well! This photo reminds us of being freezing cold but having fun with family and friends!
FOUR:
Nadine says:
Photo of us ‘behind the twigs’. This photo reminds us of John (Andrew’s Dad) and Sandra (Andrew’s Auntie) holding the some of our decorations in the air in front of us to get a good photo while it was raining outside! Never let the rain get in the way of a good photo opportunity! We love this picture and used it for our thank you cards.
FIVE:
Confetti! This reminds us of Kathryn calling Andrew Mr Grumpy (he doesn’t like confetti don’t you know) *haha*
Oh I love Nadine and Andrew’s selection. Its so nice to see the photos through my couples’ eyes.
My favourite 36:
Here are a selection of my own favourites that tell the story of the day. Elements I have included include some of the aesthetics that I particularly liked. Such as Nadine’s gorgeous green shoes and Andrew’s brilliant rustic style tweed suit. He hunts and the look was perfect for him. His best man had a similar get up and Andrew bought him a vintage gun cleaning kit as a present, which was true love! I really liked working with these two. They are both genuinely lovely. Here are a few pictures of their wonderful cold wintry magical wedding day…

What was the best decision you made about your wedding day? (advice to future couples)
Tea and Cake! We only invited 30 close family and friends to the ceremony and wedding breakfast. We invited a few more extended family and close friends for tea and cake at 5:30pm before the rest of our evening guests arrived at 7pm. This meant we could spend quality time with different groups of people throughout the day.
Is there anything you would do differently? (advice to future couples)
Ask a friend or family member to plate up some of the buffet food for you! We missed out on ours because we were so busy chatting to everyone!
