An intimate wedding
I love photographing intimate weddings. There is something wonderfully relaxed about smaller celebrations, and they often allow more time to enjoy the people who matter most. Claire and Ian’s intimate wedding is one of my favourite examples of wedding photography in West Bridgford. Their relaxed registry office ceremony at Bridgford Hall was followed by colourful confetti, family photographs in the beautiful surrounding park and a celebratory meal at Escabeche. It’s proof that you don’t need a huge guest list or an all-day celebration to have a wedding full of personality and beautiful moments.
Over the years I’ve photographed many weddings in West Bridgford, from intimate registry office ceremonies at Bridgford Hall to larger celebrations across Nottinghamshire. One of the things I love most about this location is how much variety there is within just a few minutes’ walk. The mature trees, open parkland and elegant architecture create a beautiful setting for relaxed, natural wedding photography.

Claire and Ian had loads of lovely colourful confetti, which everyone enjoyed. In fact I think grandad might have enjoyed throwing the confetti even more than the kids. It didn’t stop through the group shots, and I have some lovely shots of Claire and her mum in a lot of floating confetti! Claire and Ian continued their celebrations with a nice meal at Escabeche in West Bridgford and I left them to it and got on the bus home.
