Emma & Sam’s wedding:

A Nottingham Farm wedding
It was lovely to be back doing some photography at Swancar Farm. This time for the uttterly lovely Emma and Sam. I got such a warm welcome on arrival, despite the October chill in the air, and the rather damp day. Nobody’s spirits were dampened and in fact everyone was buzzing with excitement. I met Emma briefly at the new Bridal Cottages before helping rush everyone over with brollies to the bridal suite for final preparations.
Best buddies
Emma was surrounded by her nearest and dearest. In fact all of Emma’s bridesmaids were such a close knit bunch of girl friends, it was so lovely to see them all rallying around. They had such a fun morning. Later on in the day, I got one of my favourite girl squad photos with these girls. The rain kept us from going to my usual favourite spot for these photos as we wanted some shelter from the raindrops. So instead I got the girls huddled together under the canopy shelter in the courtyard. I am so glad we used this spot as the light was just insanely beautiful, and the girls looked awesome together. You can tell just from this photo what a great bond they have together.
Autumn tones
I loved the autumnal feel to the wedding colours. Particularly awesome was Sam’s velvet jacket. I love a velvet jacket and the deep red colour just looked so suave. the deep reds were carried through in the decor and Emma’s gorgeous makeup. I love a red lip, and Emma carried the glamorous red lipstick look off perfectly. She looked amazing.
A fun day
the day was great fun from start to finish. Emma and Sam have such a great group of friends and family, which is clearly a testament to how well loved they are and what a lovely couple they are. I had such a lovely time photographing this one and felt so welcomed by the wedding party. Thanks to groomsman Alex for holding my flash gun for that evening portrait. You can’t see him, but he is crouched down in the field behind Emma and Sam. Its great when I can get good helpers to get in the field when I need them to! haha.
