Swancar Farm wedding photography - bride and groom walking through the wheat field

Swancar Farm wedding photography 2024

Jess and Jacob held their gorgeous wedding at Swancar Farm. I was delighted to be asked to do their wedding photography. We had met the previous year for an engagement shoot at Burnt Stump in Nottingham. So I know these two would be super cute in front of my camera. I loved Jess’s style and the little details that made their wedding just a little bit different were ace.

Celestial touches

I loved the little touches to the celestial that Jess carefully incorporated into her outfit. From the stars on the gorgeous Wattersby Waters wedding gown to the beautiful star spangled head piece and down the back necklace. Jacob also had stars on his cuff links. I guess you could say the stars aligned for these two.

Wedding ceremony

I loved the wedding ceremony at Swancar Farm. One of my favourite wedding venues in Nottingham. From Jess’s entrance, where she was so excited to get to the front of the aisle, she left her dad behind. To the hand written vows in her little notebook, to the brilliant smiles of these two as they tied the knot. I loved the lego made bouquet on the table and the all round happy vibes during this part of the day.

Some of my favourite things about Swancar Farm weddings:

  • The Gallery ceremony room with its low beams that give it a real feeling of intimacy
  • The big ‘Oak Hall’ with its high ceilings and big floor to ceiling windows – giving plenty of light during the wedding breakfast
  • The long winding path unto the venue, which is great for those classic walking portraits I love.
  • The surrounding fields, that change with the seasons and make a fantastic backdrop for photos
  • The courtyard for drinks reception
  • The gorgeous window light in the bridal suite for portraits and that lovely reflection.
