Wedding Photography at The Mill Hoveringham
I was delighted to shoot my first wedding at The Mill Hoveringham yesterday. I have had a couple of bookings at this new venue for this year and had heard all about how it has been under construction over the last year. My couples who booked this space had vision and creativity and the owner had obviously been able to help them visualise what an incredible space it was going to be as they booked before seeing it finished. Joe and his small team of builders have clearly poured heart and soul into this project as The Mill has been lovingly restored to a place of beauty and it really makes an ideal setting for the relaxed wedding couple who want to have full control over the details of their wedding.
The Mill Hoveringham and its little nooks and crannies
As a wedding photographer, a great venue is one that provides lots of visual inspiration for beautiful photos. Somewhere to explore where the light hits, where to frame a portrait and how to incorporate the lines and textures that appear both in nature and in the architecture of a place. The Mill Hoveringham has this in spades. It has many little rustic corners to explore for portraits and a courtyard in the centre where guests and family can hang out around the bar area and soak in the rustic charm of the venue.
A great rustic setting for the relaxed bride and groom
Set in the heart of Nottinghamshire countryside and a stone’s throw from the beautiful lake where I go wild swimming, this beautiful secret gem is the perfect wedding venue for couples who want to let their hair down and relax, whilst at the same time being in full control of every element of their day. The Mill Hoveringham provides the space and everything else is up to you! From catering to how you’d like the bar to be run, to ceremony choice and of course all the other suppliers that make up a wedding day. All you need to do is bring all these elements together and you have the perfect setting to realise your wedding dreams.
