Rachel & Sean’s twilight wedding ceremony
Wedding photography at Pippley Walled Garden for Rachel and Sean’s twilight ceremony in November:
When you get married at 4pm in November, you really are playing with the last of the light as a photographer. Pippley Walled gardens is a beautiful outdoor venue. So I wanted to get as many photographs outside before losing the light. This meant, as soon as the ceremony was over, I whisked the couple away for some portraits in the garden.
You might only have half an hour for photos before the light goes. But I don’t mind working under pressure, and it’s quite fun whizzing around the gardens for some portraits. Then doing some additional portraits later in the evening with lights.

The enchanting charm of Pippley Walled Garden
The beautiful Victorian Pippley walled garden is a delightful setting for a wedding. Even if you are getting married at dusk, as Rachel and Sean did. There is a magical charm to the setting, with festoon lights across the archway and around the garden. This gives the setting a magical fairytale feel.

Some of my favourite things about Pippley Walled Garden
- A tailor made experienced: The exclusive use outdoor garden venue and marquee means that you have a blank canvas. You can make your wedding work for you. Whilst a the same time providing a backdrop that is stunning all year round with beautiful blooms
- The Walled garden is a perfect backdrop for beautiful portraits: The enchanting Victorian walled garden has many nooks and crannies and around every corner is another lovely spot for photos. The garden works all year round and even in the darker months, the pretty festooned lights make for wonderful pictures and great wedding photography at Pippley walled garden.
- The location: It is close to the city, meaning it is accessible for guests with places to stay very close by. But it does not lose its rural charm, and you wouldn’t know how central it is from inside the garden walls.
